1. What Marketplace Credit is

Marketplace Credit is a closed-loop balance that may be issued, purchased where enabled, or credited after eligible refunds and adjustments. It is intended for purchases and eligible transactions within this Marketplace.

2. Not a bank account

Marketplace Credit is not a bank deposit, savings account, investment product or general-purpose payment account. It does not earn interest unless the Marketplace expressly states otherwise.

3. Funding and credits

Credits may arise from approved refunds, customer top-ups, service recovery, promotions or authorized Admin adjustments. Each credit or debit should create an auditable ledger entry.

4. Spending

Available Marketplace Credit may be applied to eligible transactions before or alongside supported external payment methods. The server-calculated balance and transaction ledger are authoritative.

5. Refunds

Where a transaction paid partly or wholly with Marketplace Credit is reversed, the eligible credit-funded portion may be restored to Marketplace Credit. External payment portions may be refunded through the applicable payment provider.

6. Expiry

A credit may expire only where an expiry term was lawfully disclosed and attached to that credit. Refund credits should not be arbitrarily forfeited. Applicable consumer law prevails.

7. Transfers and cash withdrawal

Unless expressly enabled and permitted by law, Marketplace Credit cannot be transferred between customers, sold, pledged, or withdrawn as cash. We may provide a lawful alternative where required by applicable consumer law.

8. Errors and unauthorized activity

Contact Support promptly if you believe a credit/debit is incorrect or unauthorized. We may temporarily restrict disputed balances while investigating.

9. Account closure

Closing an account does not automatically erase legally required financial records. Treatment of remaining credit will follow applicable law and the terms attached to that credit.

10. Changes

Material changes affecting existing balances will be handled with appropriate notice and subject to applicable law.
